Semarang, September 25–26, 2021, The Department of Physics, Faculty of Science and Mathematics, Diponegoro University (UNDIP), in collaboration with the Division of Medical Quantum Science, Faculty of Medical Sciences, Kyushu University, Japan, successfully organized the “IndoseCT & PHITS Modeling Workshop”. The event was held online via Zoom Meeting.
The two-day workshop, conducted on Saturday and Sunday, September 25–26, 2021, from 08.00 to 13.00 WIB (GMT+7), aimed to enhance participants’ understanding and skills in radiation dose modeling using IndoseCT and PHITS (Particle and Heavy Ion Transport code System), two essential tools in the fields of medical physics and radiation simulation.
The workshop featured two distinguished speakers:
- Dr. Choirul Anam, from the Department of Physics, Diponegoro University, who delivered the session on IndoseCT Modeling.
- Prof. Dr. Toshioh Fujibuchi, from the Division of Medical Quantum Science, Kyushu University, who presented the PHITS Modeling session.
On the first day, participants were introduced to IndoseCT and its application in medical image-based dose modeling, including basic principles and examples related to CT imaging. The second day focused on PHITS, providing an overview of particle transport simulations and their application in medical physics, as well as interpretation techniques for simulation results.
