Semarang, October 17, 2022, The Department of Physics, Faculty of Science and Mathematics, Diponegoro University held a General Lecture on CT Dosimetry, featuring a guest speaker from Malaysia. The event was conducted online and attended by students, lecturers, and professionals interested in medical physics, particularly in the field of computed tomography (CT) dosimetry.

The session was moderated by Dr. Pandji Triadyaksa, a lecturer and medical physics researcher from Diponegoro University. The main lecture was delivered by Dr. Noor Diyana Osman from the Department of Biomedical Imaging, Universiti Sains Malaysia, a well-regarded expert in the field of medical imaging dosimetry.

In her lecture, Dr. Noor Diyana Osman discussed essential topics related to CT dosimetry, including fundamental principles of dose measurement, commonly used clinical dose parameters, and current issues on optimization and patient safety in CT imaging. Participants gained insights into the critical role of medical physicists in minimizing radiation exposure while maintaining image quality.

This event was part of the Department’s commitment to expanding academic horizons and fostering international collaboration in the field of medical physics.
