The Department of Physics at Diponegoro University (Undip) once again demonstrated its commitment to fostering international collaboration and enriching scientific knowledge by organizing a Public Lecture featuring an expert from abroad. The event, held offline on the 6th floor of Building A, presented Dr. Noor Diyana Osman, an Associate Professor from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM). The visit of international researchers such as Dr. Noor Diyana Osman, an expert in Diagnostic Radiological Dosimetry, serves as tangible evidence that the Department of Physics at Undip is becoming increasingly active and recognized on the global stage.

The lecture, titled “Dosimetry Study for Diagnostic Radiology for Medical Physicists”, provided valuable international exposure for students. They not only gained up-to-date insights directly from an international researcher on critical issues in medical physics but were also immersed in a broader academic atmosphere. The topic of dosimetry—highly relevant to patient safety and the optimization of radiation doses in diagnostic radiology—drew significant attention, especially from students specializing in Medical Physics. This initiative aligns with Undip’s ongoing efforts to enhance the quality of education and the global relevance of its research.

The strong enthusiasm of students who filled the lecture hall reflected their eagerness to learn and collaborate within Undip’s academic community. The presence of Dr. Noor Diyana Osman is among the growing number of international researchers collaborating with the Department of Physics at Undip. This trend not only strengthens Undip’s position as a center of scientific excellence but also opens up vast opportunities for lecturers and students to engage in joint research projects with foreign institutions—fostering innovation and inspiring new breakthroughs in the field of physics.
