Getasan, 6 August 2025 – The Community Service and Research Team from the Faculty of Science and Mathematics, Diponegoro University (UNDIP), successfully held a program titled “Physics Learning Innovation: LabXperience as a Medium to Enhance Student Interest in Physics” on Wednesday, 6 August 2025, at SMAN 1 Getasan. The activity engaged Grade XII students, teachers, and the UNDIP outreach team with the main goal of fostering students’ enthusiasm and understanding of physics.

The program was designed in an engaging format through experimental seminars, aiming to provide students with a fresh perspective on physics concepts and their applications in daily life. Students were also introduced to the Research Interest Groups (Kelompok Bidang Keahlian/KBK) available in UNDIP’s Physics Department, potential career paths, and innovative research products created by UNDIP lecturers.

During the experimental sessions, students showed great enthusiasm. They actively asked questions, participated in discussions, and tried out various demonstrations, creating a lively and interactive learning environment. This active participation reflected their strong interest when physics is presented through innovative teaching approaches.

This community service program was carried out by a student team consisting of Amelia Diah Febriyana, Nadya Kharisatul Azka, Uswatun Hasanah, Nabila Pramudya Puti, and Septia Fajar Praditasari. They were guided by supervisors Oki Ade Putra, M.Si. and Prof. Dr. Muhammad Nur, DEA. The collaboration between lecturers and students highlighted UNDIP’s commitment to combining academic expertise and youthful creativity in outreach activities.

The school expressed appreciation and hopes for the continuity of such initiatives in the future. The program was considered not only beneficial in strengthening the partnership between SMAN 1 Getasan and UNDIP but also impactful in providing memorable learning experiences for students.

The UNDIP team extended their gratitude to the school, especially the principal and staff, for the warm welcome and full support. A group photo session with the principal symbolized mutual commitment to sustainable collaboration in developing innovative physics education.

“Through LabXperience, we aim to motivate students to see physics as an exciting and valuable field of study, one that will benefit them in pursuing higher education and beyond,” the organizing team concluded.
