In support of UNDIP’s efforts to become a world-class university, Prof. Dr. Heri Sutanto has implemented the Summer Course program under the World Class University (WCU) initiative. The course, titled Application of Materials Physics in Medical Physics, was held from October 23 to 29, 2024, at the Department of Physics, UNDIP. The course covered topics such as the introduction to materials like silicon rubber, quantum dots, testing with X-rays and gamma rays, and practical material synthesis. Speakers for the event included Prof. Dr. Heri Sutanto, Dr. Suci Faniandari, Zaenal Arifin, and Ilham Alkian. A total of 136 participants registered for the event, which included students and faculty from Indonesian universities, as well as international participants from Malaysia, Nigeria, Iraq, and Egypt.
Earlier, other WCU programs included Visiting Lecturer sessions, such as the one delivered by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Siti Fairus bin Abd Sani from Universiti Malaya (event contact: Zaenal Arifin) and another by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Raja Kamarulzaman Raja Ibrahim and colleagues from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (event contact: Dr. Ali Khumaeni).
