The Department of Physics at Universitas Diponegoro successfully held a Visiting Lecturer event themed “Development and Implementation of Medical Radiation Protection Teaching Materials Using Extended Reality (XR)” on August 26, 2024. The event was met with great enthusiasm from the participants.
This event featured guest speaker Prof. Dr. Toshioh Fujibuchi from Kyushu University, who delivered an engaging presentation on medical radiation protection. This topic is highly relevant in the current medical field, especially with technological advancements such as Extended Reality (XR).
During the session, participants were very enthusiastic about listening to Prof. Fujibuchi’s explanations. Several students actively asked questions related to the topic discussed, and each question was answered thoroughly by the speaker. The dynamic discussion was moderated by Dr. Choirul Anam, S.Si., M.Si., F.Med., a physics lecturer who acted as the session moderator.
At the end of the session, a warm group photo was taken between the speaker, the head of the Department of Physics, and the attendees. This group photo marked the success of the event and served as a moment to capture the spirit of collaboration and knowledge exchange that had been fostered.
This event not only broadened the participants’ understanding of medical radiation protection but also strengthened the academic relationship between Universitas Diponegoro and Kyushu University. It is hoped that such activities can continue to be held to promote the advancement of knowledge in the field of medical physics.
