Physics lecturers through the community service team provide guidance to students of SMAN Jakenan Pati about Medical Material Physics. The development of the field of medical physics, which is currently extraordinary, is a potential that can be developed by Indonesian human resources in the present and future. Research exploration opportunities that support this field of health can be
carried out starting from the level of high school education which has been structuredly taught material in the field of Physics and an overview of its development. To further increase the interests and talents of these students, one of them is carried out by assisting in exploring ideas for female students in high schools. The activities that will be carried out will have an impact on the development of the field of physics and its applications as well as a means of promoting departments related to the contribution of graduates in real terms in the community.
In July 2021, the community service team of the Department of Physics coordinated with the deputy head of SMA Negeri 1 Jakenan (Mrs. Widyarini Emma Widjaja, S.Pd., M.Pd.) to communicate a picture of the implementation of activities. Furthermore, the community service team of the Department of Physics, Faculty of Mathematics Undip and SMA Negeri 1 Jakenan discussed and agreed to carry out activities on September 4 and 5, 2021 online through the zoom 7 meeting platform. The community service team of the Department of Physics, Faculty of Science and Mathematics Undip then made a zoom meeting schedule whose username and password were informed to the accompanying teacher. On the first day (Saturday, September 4, 2021) the activity took place from 08.00-11.30 WIB. The sequence of events carried out was the screening of the profile video of the Department of Physics, Diponegoro University, the screening of the profile video of SMA N 1 Jakenan, the opening by the MC, the remarks of student representatives, remarks by the head of SMA N 1 Jakenan, remarks by the head of the Department of Physics, delivery of the material “Exploration of Scientific Paper Ideas of Adolescents in the Medical Field in the Pandemic Period Session 1”, discussions, handover of mementos, group photos, and closing. On this first day, the activity was attended by 3 Physics Lecturers of Diponegoro University, 8 Physics Students of Diponegoro University, 4 Accompanying Teachers of Scientific Work of Sma N 1 Jakenan High School Teenagers, and 41 KIR Students of SMA N 1 Jakenan.
On the second day (Sunday, September 5, 2021) the activities carried out were to continue delivering the material and monitoring the evaluation of the previous material. The activity takes place from 09.00-11.30 WIB. The order of the event carried out was the opening by the MC, the provision of test questions, the delivery of the material “”Exploration of Scientific Work Ideas of Adolescents in the Medical Field during the Pandemic Session 2”, discussions, the delivery of material “Tips for Writing KIR and Pursuing Achievements”, Discussions, submission of certificates for participants, group photos, and closing. On the second day, the activity was attended by 1 Physics Lecturer at Diponegoro University, 8 Physics Students from Diponegoro University, 4 Accompanying Teachers for Adolescent Scientific Work at SMA N 1 Jakenan, and 41 Students of KIR SMA N 1 Jakenan. During the community service activities, many students and accompanying teachers enthusiastically wanted to understand more about the contribution of the field of material physics to the medical and environmental fields. Presentations and demonstrations were carried out by tuning power points, synthesis videos, explaining test results to an overview of applications for the medical and environmental fields. Some students ask both from the aspect of knowledge and other aspects of application. From the questions that arise, it indicates that the students and accompanying teachers have been interested in the topic presented.8 In addition to answering the questions presented by the students, the service team also provided an overview of its development ideas to apply to the wider environmental and medical institutions. Furthermore, the community service team also provides knowledge and insights related to authorship, so as to improve the ability of students to write adolescent scientific papers. In general, service activities are carried out smoothly and according to the objectives and have been able to increase the interest of service participants. The purpose of this activity for diponegoro university students and lecturers to participate in introducing the Physics Study Program to students of SMA Negeri 1 Jakenan has also been successfully carried out. This activity received a high response and enthusiasm from SMA N 1 Jakenan.
