Semarang, February 19, 2025 – The Department of Physics at Diponegoro University (UNDIP) will hold a Public Lecture titled “Disaster Mitigation and Climate Change” on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at 3:00 PM WIB in Building G, 3rd Floor, Faculty of Science and Mathematics (FSM), UNDIP Semarang.
This event will feature Prof. Dr. Muchammad Farid, MS, from the Disaster Mitigation and Energy Study Center, LPPM Universitas Bengkulu, as the keynote speaker. In this lecture, Prof. Farid will discuss crucial aspects of disaster mitigation strategies and the impacts of climate change on the environment and human life.
As part of Diponegoro University’s academic commitment to supporting education and research on disaster management, this event aims to enhance the understanding of students, lecturers, and the general public regarding global challenges related to natural disasters and climate change. Additionally, it will serve as a platform for discussions on innovations and science-based solutions to address the increasingly evident effects of climate change.
